TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Programming:
OCTAVE, SCILAB, MATLAB, C
Operating
Systems: WINDOWS 7/ VISTA
S/w Tools: MultiSim,
Baraha, GeoGebr, Datafit, Beyond Compare
Others: Algorithm Development, Math_magic
WORK
EXPERIENCE:
DSP ENGINEER (TIVR
Communications, Bengalooru, Sep’2008- June' 2009):
(1)
Speech Codecs : AMR-NB/WB Codecs–
I was involved in code optimization including conversion of ‘Float code to
Fixed code’, and in the implementation of time and memory efficient algorithms
using c and testing over Windows and ARM.
I was able to achieve about 70% reduction in the MIPS count on ARM9E.
(2)Audio Codecs : AACLC Encoder – I have implemented Radix-2,
Radix-4, Split Radix FFT algorithms using C, both recursive and non-recursive
versions, that are highly time and memory efficient Algorithm Implementations,
that resulted in savings of more than 80% in terms of MIPS count on ARM9E. Code
Optimization and Testing over Windows and ARM processor are the other tasks
that I took part.

Few ideas that I wish
to implement as a Researcher & Teacher:
•
Effective utilization of the
available resources
•
Orient the students to
pursue higher studies at institutes like IITs, IIMs work in organizations such
as ISRO, DRDO, HAL etc.,. by training them for GATE, CAT etc.,.
•
Motivate students to
participate in tech. fests such as TRYST @IITD, SHAASTRA @IITM.
•
Arrange guest lectures/ workshops/
training by students and alumni of IITs.
•
Play vital role in bridging
the gap between industry and educational institutes – arranging industrial
tours, encouraging students to do internships / mini-projects.
•
Nurturing the research
interest in students, colleagues and aim at publications in journals of
international repute.
•
Streamlining the strengths
of students to develop rural areas around the institute (www.ivil.iitm.ac.in, www.nss.iitm.ac.in)
•
Teaching the subjects with
proper correlation and with an interdisciplinary approach – UNIFIED THEORY of
all subjects.
•
Teaching by demos, using
innovative teaching tools, giving importance to hands on / practicals.
•
Encouraging the
entrepreneurial ideas from students so that they provide employment to others.
•
Try to showcase work/ achievements
of the public sector organizations (orgs.) to common public in various forms so
that common public will have confidence and an environment is created where the
parents encourage children to join public sector.
•
Govt. school children from
surrounding villages can be permitted to visit the campus and see the ongoing
work so that they will be motivated to study well & join such orgs. as they
grow up.

Movie menace..be wise to reject films that create disturbance in the society
दॆश कॆ कॊयी इलाखा कॆ बारॆ मॆ दुष्प्रचार कर्नॆ की
दुस्साहस जॊ किया वॊ अवश्य दंडनीय है! Whoever is trying to take movies insulting part(s) of our country, they
should be punished. Those who involved in this film making and those who r
supporting the release of the movie as it is are for sure 'sponsored
terrorists' trying to insult our people/ country. Are these ppl supporting the
movie..so pious that they never smoke/ drink? Do they really respect women? The
name of the cities/ state referred negatively in the movie should be cut with
immediate effect.
Just bcoz 'some movie based on Goa'
was released earlier, the judge should not show that as a reason to permit the
present movie for public show. Already mistake has been committed in case of
the previous movie. Cannot the highly learned judge think of the bad impact
such films will behaving on the society (which are a threat to the unity
of our nation)? Is the judge fond of seeing films irrespective of its content?
If that is so....then Sad & Bad.
