1. Project Associate : Acoustics experiments in shallow waters of Northern Bay of Bengal
Description of the work : We require a project associate who can work with instruments such as sources, hydrophones, arrays, and conductivity temperature and depth sensors. The project associate will work with the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) and travel to the ocean for field work.
Duration : One year initially, extendable up to two years
Qualification : B. Tech degree holders with experience or M. Tech degree holders with GATE score. The BTech degree must be in Electrical Engineering.
Emoluments : Rs. 16500 - Rs. 40000
2. Project Associate : Acoustic models and inverse methods
Description of the work : We require a project associate to develop wave propagation through random media models, and build inverse methods. The project associate will develop computational models and the inverse methods using Matlab/FORTRAN.
Duration : One year initially, extendable up to two years
Qualification : B. Tech degree holders with experience or M. Tech degree holders with GATE score. The BTech degree must be in Electrical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Applied Mathematics/Physics.
Emoluments : Rs. 16500 - Rs. 40000
3. Project Associate : Design of conformal phased array and large dimensional signal processing
Description of the work : We require a project associate to design a conformal array that will potentially contain more than a 1000 hydrophones. The project associate will have a background in discrete time systems and signal processing. During the first year the associate will design the array and in the second implement adaptive signal processing for detection, estimation, and tracking of targets.
Duration : One year, extendable up to two years
Qualification : B. Tech degree holders with experience or M. Tech degree holders with GATE score. The BTech degree must be in Electrical Engineering.
Emoluments : Rs. 16500 - Rs. 40000
