I took advance general ticket on 31-3-17 at around 22:00 (Ticket no: 87025814) to travel from Chandigarh to Secunderabd on 1-4-17. I took advanced ticket because on 1st April..I was supposed to arrive at railway station from Chandigarh university..probably just before the departure of train and I may not have time to stand in 'big queue' especially as I have 2 to 3 bags with me.
As the college wanted to have my guest lecture on 3-4-17..decided on 1-4-17 around 16:00...I had to cancel my journey to Secunderabad. SO I went to Chandigarh railway station and the person in counter 4 (and subsequently the Deputy Station superintendent) told that ticket should have been cancelled within 3hrs of issue. I wonder why the minister / officials make 'inconvenient' rules that make 'passengers suffer. I had to spend 4+ hours just for this college to station & back..and with no refund. Why r u cheating people like this. How can ppl like me who cannot afford to spend more money / take reservation on each travel sustain if railways is involving in such 'tactics'. I am very much disappointed with ur behaviour. Personally several railway officials also feel this. If I did not had money to buy another ticket..how bad it could have been? Oh..minister..Please try to refund me from ur personal account if u cannot pay from railway account. You can send cheque to the above address. tragedy is ...file uploading process is not good enough in this website!!
