धन्यवाद thanks for sending invitations for several events. Iam happy to know that iitm is doing well (under dynamic leadership) on many fronts. Very evident is the usage of Hindi. Good to know that Tamil classes are going on...all dept buildings have easy access facilities for differently abled persons..like this many more positive news items are coming to my notice.
Plz stop reading further..if u r highly sensitive. Plz feel free to stop reading anywhere to save ur time.
Regarding alumni meetings:
I don't want to hurt feelings of anyone...but wish to speak out what comes to my mind when I see these invitations. It is not to criticize you personally. Iam not trying to force you but trying to inform u what I feel is better. someone should raise the issue...so Iam...

As I observe most of the alumni meets r planned in 5star hotels. Generally these 5 star hotels promote smoking/ liquor(may not b in IIT events but those premises are polluted very often by those who indulge in anti-social activities...why to select places where some characterless film stars reside..is it to enlighten such ppl?).
Why not select better venue such as some educational institution and order food from something like 'kamat hotel'. By using Pvt engg colleges for this during sat/ Sunday...they will get some amount as rent (whatever u r paying to 5star hotel...u can pay a fraction to the college...to buy books / infrastructure.. they will b happy) and alumni Wil get some idea about what's happening in the college. Some students / faculty (of that college) who might b volunteering wil also get to meet our IIT alumni and get benefited by their wisdom/ experience. This will b helpful for society in a big way ..each time having such meeting in different engg college.
For example HYD meeting can b had in SVCE / SVIT (near clock tower) very close to Secunderabad railway station. Kamat hotel ( pure veg...as an educated person from premier inst...how can one kill hen/ goat/ fish... for food...as if there is no alternative!) is just opposite to it for food! Or u may use IEEE/ IETE auditorium of that city.
I wish to share mathematical magics with the attendees at some point of time in near future.
Many times i am backing off myself from attending bcoz the venue is 'improper'. Materialistically one looses a lot by not attending such events...but what to do...when wil god make u think about a better venue?!
Hope u understand my feelings and try to spend public's money in a better way.
One more thing: plz look into the possibility of avoiding the word 'club' .. especially wrt to the so called IIT music c_ _ b'
Is it very sad that ..when there r many bigger issues in the society waiting to b solved...I raised this issue?
