Greetings from BCT.

 

The paradigm of what education should bring to children is shifting. The education system that India today needs shouldn't just provide academic learning. It should enable children to blossom to their full potential. The needs for rural children run much deeper. Struggling with lack of quality education and opportunities, the big dreams of these young ones are often nipped in the bud, as they have to 'settle' for smaller choices. 

 

The Residential High School by Bhagavatula Charitable Trust has been set up to help children achieve their potential. Operating on a skill-oriented value-based model that is tailored to meet the needs of children in rural India, the model school focuses equally on academics, vocational training, values and social animation. This ensures that wherever they may live, these future citizens can create a livelihood, better the society and stand for themselves.

 

Students who have passed out from the BCT High School, since its inception in 1995, are live testimonials to the success of this high school. Many of them have gone on to start their own enterprises, take up careers and utilize their skills and voice to better the villages they live in. In fact, 78% of the alumni continue to live in and work for their villages.

 

In order to help create more such model citizenry, we need your support. Your donations will help those rural students of the region who cannot afford their school fees. They will also help in improving the infrastructure and support through aids and appliances. The donations you make here will be matched by GlobalGiving as shown below, starting at 9 :00 EDT (18:30 IST) to 23:59 EDT (09:30 IST) on July 18, 2019.
