About Speaker: Swami Shuddhidananda is a monk of the Ramakrishna Order started by Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. He joined the Ramakrishna Order in 1993. After ten years of training, he has ordained a monk in 2003. For the last 26 years, he has been serving the Order. He presently stays at Advaita Ashrama at Kolkata, which is one of the premier publication centers of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission. Over the last 20 years, he has been involved in the publication of several important works dealing with Vedanta, Sri Ramakrishna, and Swami Vivekananda. He has been the Chief Editor of a number of important books like The Message of Vivekachudamani, The Message of Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, Western Admirers of Sri Ramakrishna and His Disciples, Swami Vivekananda as the Turning Point, and Hinduism the Faith Eternal. He is also a regular speaker at different forums, including the IIT Kharagpur, where he has been holding classes for students and faculty members for the last 8 years. His special area of interest is the philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga, and also Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.
